How do I quote and book a pallet shipment?

Through our platform you can book pallet transport within Spain and across the EU. The carriers available for palletised freight on the Spanish market are DHL, SEUR / DPD, FedEx, GLS and Palletways (specialist pallet network).

For SEUR / DPD and FedEx the goods must travel on a Euro pallet measuring 120 x 80 cm. Maximum weight and maximum height depend on the carrier - see the table below.

DHL accepts both Euro pallets (120 x 80 cm) and Euro half-pallets (80 x 60 cm); the relevant maximums are in the table.

With Palletways you can ship on a Euro pallet (120 x 80 cm), a Euro half-pallet (80 x 60 cm) or an industrial pallet (120 x 100 cm or 120 x 120 cm). On every Palletways pallet type the load may not exceed a total height of 180 cm or a total weight of 200 kg.

You can run a quote quickly and easily in the calculator - just switch to the pallet view, enter the required figures and the carrier prices appear at the bottom of the page. Remember to always add the weight and height of the pallet itself to your declared totals.

Example. To ship a 60 kg fridge measuring 60 x 60 x 150 cm on a Euro pallet, in the calculator (or in the order form) you should enter:
85 kg (60 kg + 25 kg of the pallet) and 120 x 80 x 165 cm (150 cm + 15 cm of the pallet).

Pallets are used for heavy goods, large household appliances and consumer electronics, machinery and similar items. With SEUR / DPD specifically, tires above 80 cm in outer diameter must also travel palletised.

The driver will not bring an empty pallet - the sender is responsible for sourcing one. The sender is also responsible for properly securing the goods to the pallet (nothing may protrude beyond the base), protecting the load and assisting with loading the truck. Carriers operate pallet transport on a ramp-to-ramp basis - so if you don't have a loading ramp at the pick-up address, the driver may expect your help.

Most carriers collect pallets with a vehicle equipped to handle them (tail lift, pallet jack), but this is service-dependent. Always confirm the loading conditions for your chosen carrier when you book.
