Tires are a special kind of parcel - every carrier in our network has its own rules covering how tires must be packed, how many can travel in a single parcel and what dimensional limits apply. To save you from comparing every carrier's individual requirements, our booking form includes a dedicated Tires category that already factors in those differences and simplifies the whole ordering process.
How to book tires in the form
To ship tires you don't need to measure the parcel or work out its weight. All you need are the values printed directly on the sidewall of the tire:
- section width (in millimetres),
- aspect ratio / profile,
- rim diameter (in inches),
- number of units.
From these four numbers our system produces packing variants compliant with each carrier's requirements. Against every offer in the results list you'll see:
- the packing layout (single or paired),
- the required material (e.g. stretch film, adhesive tape).
This makes it easy to compare offers side by side and pick the option that suits you best.
Packing instructions for your specific order
Once you've chosen a carrier, you'll receive a detailed packing instruction tailored to your shipment. You'll also find it in the order confirmation e-mail and inside the shipment details after logging into your account.
The instruction reflects the number of tires, their size, the requirements of the specific carrier and the correct way to secure them - so you can prepare the parcel exactly to the carrier's guidelines and avoid any problems at pick-up.
Important: do not change the packing method
The price shown in the form relates to the specific packing method indicated for your order. Changing it on your own can lead to a surcharge or a refusal at the depot.
If you'd like to read the full packing rules now, see our companion article: How should I pack tires for shipping?
Things to remember
- The Tires category is only for passenger-car tires without rims.
- Tires fitted to rims, loose rims and complete wheels must be sent under the standard Parcel category, following its own rules.
- Each tire (or pair of tires) is issued its own waybill, but the whole booking is treated by the carrier as a single multi-piece shipment.
- Changing the packing method from the one indicated in the offer can result in a carrier surcharge or a refusal to accept the shipment for transport.
